David Cook fans out there will really love his performance of “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing”. And you shouldn’t miss it either.
The idols sang three songs tonight. The first song by Cook was Roberta Flack’s“First Time I Ever Saw Your Face”. His second was SwitchFoot’s“Dare You To Move” which was a bit ordinary.
His finale though, Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” really took the whole cake and all the other desserts. Violins really fit on this rock n’ roll thing. From violins transitioning to electric guitar… wow!! I hope he gets to record a studio version of this song.
Sorsogon offers a lot of other destinations aside from Donsol for visiting tourists. Since we don’t have a car, we just went to the places near Rizal Beach Resort that can be toured in half a day so we could spend the afternoon swimming at the beach.
I took the liberty of taking a picture of this guide map from the resort
Other places that we wished we could’ve visited includes the picturesque Paguriran Island in Bacon and the fine white sand of the secluded Subic Island. Of course there are lots of hot and cold springs, caves and falls around Sorsogon that you can also visit.
I first applied for a credit card a few years back and was promptly denied. No big deal. Then came another offer so I took it. Denied again while my wife (gf back then) already had two. Not that we’re competing on who can get the most but am I not a credit card-worthy kind of guy?
So finally, after another offer I got my first card. Now I can purchase appliances, buy cheaper products online and earn rewards while doing it.
I later found out that the problem with my card is that the rewards are only convertible to travel miles, not items!!! I don’t even ride that particular airline they’re tied up with. That’s what I get for not researching about the best credit card offers for me.
Anyhow, I recently received another offer and this time its reward points are convertible to items. I didn’t say no yet. I just said to call back again since I was busy that time. So soon I’ll be having two credit cards.
Now what can a person do with multiple credit cards? Well for one, it’s great to have a Visa and a Mastercard at the same time. Another thing is if you can’t pay your bill on time on one of your card, you can transfer it to a 0% balance transfer credit card. This way you won’t suffer the stiff penalty for the interest.
So I guess having multiple credit cards is ok as long as you can control your spending habits.
First there was the bullied chorister, Andrew Johnston (13). Then came the wonder boy British-Filipino jazz singer, Charlie Green (10). And now, it’s the 12 year old opera singing kid, Faryl Smith’s turn to wow the judges.
Unbelievable huh? That she’s that big but is only 12 years old. Hehehe. Just kidding. Her voice was pretty amazing and it seems unlikely to come out of a kid.
Seems like this season’s finals will be swarmed by really talented kids. The grown-ups will really have a difficult time competing with the little ones. They have the charm, the “oh-so-cute-kid” factor and the talent to boot as well. If the fans had a hard time choosing between Connie and Paul Potts last year, they will have a harder time this season.
Happy Mom’s Day to all the mothers out there. Don’t forget to call and say “I love you” to your mom.
There’s a wrong card for every special occasion
To my mother friends, Claire, Anna, Mel, Tey and uhh… I guess that’s it. Happy Mother’s Day to you!! Same with my bloggermate Xelynah, Happy Mother’s Day to you too!
What?!? Nick Cannon? The badass little drummer boy in the movie Drumline? The PI’s assistant in Richard Gere’s Shall We Dance? He also had a show in Nickelodeon a few years back and is now hosting his show in MTV, Wild N’ Out.
Yep, it’s official. (Photo taken from Getty Images)
Anyhow, I could not believe when I saw the news that she recently married the voluptuous pop diva, Mariah Carey. I didn’t even know they were dating.
My mom lives in the US and I want to surprise her with an e-Card for this upcoming Mother’s Day (May 11). This is not your ordinary e-Card I tell you. This is a Group Greeting Card from SquidNote where you can invite multiple people to sign the card before it is sent to the recipient. Neat huh?
So I sent the invitations to my brother and sisters and my wife after I signed it. My wife and two of my sisters signed the card as well. When my little sister who lives in the US with my mom opened her mail without reading the instructions, she just clicked the link to the site where should could sign the card.
Not knowing that she has to sign the card, she showed it to our mom instead. So that’s how our Mother’s Day surprise went. We can still call her on that day to greet her personally anyway.
